KC Area Data Centers
Golden Plains Technology Park is a new 882-acre site in the KC region devoted to data center operations. This high-impact opportunity recently received resounding City Council approval for a master plan development including expedited review of data center applications, including a dedicated ombudsman throughout the process, plus development approvals and permits.
Diode Ventures — a wholly owned subsidiary of global engineering leader Black & Veatch — plans to seek property tax abatements and sales tax exemptions on construction materials used in building its technology park. Golden Plains Technology Park has the potential for $6 billion capital investment and 6.75 million square feet of data center space.
